Infill is damp sand under a mat of fibers, out of direct sun — food for bacteria and mold once pollen, leaf litter or pet waste lands on it. That's the musty "old turf" smell and the dark film in shaded corners.

How the treatment works
Sanitizing is a finishing step, not a substitute for cleaning — applied to dirty turf, it just treats the dirt. We clear debris, brush, rinse, treat odor if needed, then apply an antimicrobial, no chlorine bleach, to the clean infill and let it dwell.
